Senior HVAC Engineer - Building Services

We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Engineer specializing in building services to lead the design, implementation, and management of HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use building projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will oversee project teams, ensure compliance with local and international standards, and drive innovation in HVAC solutions

• Lead the design, development, and review of HVAC systems for buildings, including ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration.

• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and training.

• Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to budgets.

• Oversee the preparation and review of technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for HVAC installations.

• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate HVAC solutions into building designs.

• Ensure strict compliance with UAE building codes, UAE Fire Code, Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Municipality, and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).

• Perform advanced load calculations, energy analysis, and recommend innovative, energy-efficient HVAC solutions.

• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects.

• Keep abreast of the latest technologies, software, and trends in HVAC systems and recommend improvements.

• Participate in tendering, contract negotiations, and client presentations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in HVAC engineering for building services, UAE experience is essential.

• Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD MEP, Revit (MEP), Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, IES VE and other relevant tools.

• Extensive knowledge of UAE building codes and HVAC regulations.

• Proven experience in HVAC system design, ductwork, chilled water systems, and energy efficiency in large-scale building projects.

• Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Effective communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
