Sample Prep Technician

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing laboratory samples in accordance with established procedures, ensuring sample quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards.

• Perform routine sample preparation activities in accordance with laboratory procedures.
• Operate sample preparation equipment safely and efficiently.

• Ensure prepared samples are representative of the original material and meet quality requirements.

• Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.

• Follow laboratory quality control procedures and maintain accurate records.

• Ensure compliance with SGS Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment.

• Report equipment issues, incidents and non-conformities to the supervisor.

• Support daily laboratory operations to meet sample processing requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 1 year of experience in sample preparation or a similar laboratory role.

• Knowledge of laboratory sample preparation procedures.

• Ability to operate sample preparation equipment.

• Basic understanding of laboratory safety and quality control practices.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

• Willingness to work shifts as required.
