About This Role Appier is looking for a PR Manager to drive corporate communications across Greater China, serving as the strategic voice with media, stakeholders, and partners, and shaping our reputation through storytelling, media relationships, and issue management.

Who We're Looking For We're looking for a proactive communicator who crafts compelling AI stories, builds impact across media channels, and thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the GCR PR strategy end-to-end, from brand narrative and messaging architecture to campaign execution and performance measurement.
  • Serve as media contact and spokesperson coach, securing high-impact coverage and executive interviews with top-tier business, tech, and trade publications.
  • Craft and oversee corporate announcements, press releases, bylines, and thought leadership content that position Appier's AI expertise and business milestones.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Global Comms, Sales, CSMs, Marketing, Product, and AI Research teams to align regional messaging with company wide priorities.
  • Build and manage a network of journalists, analysts, and industry influencers to drive proactive, always-on media buzz.
  • Track media coverage and translate it into share-of-voice and sentiment metrics, delivering actionable insights that inform PR strategy.
  • Support crisis communications and reputation management, acting as the first line of response for sensitive issues in the region.
  • Guide social media content to ensure a consistent brand voice across external channels, including LinkedIn, Meta and WeChat (with vendor).

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of PR/corporate communications experience, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency work at a B2B tech or MNC brand.
  • Proven track record designing and executing PR strategies that generated measurable media and business impact.
  • Native or professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese, with strong business-level English for global stakeholder collaboration.
  • Established relationships with regional business, tech, and industry media—ready to activate from day one.
  • Sharp news judgment and crisis-management instincts, with the composure to lead through ambiguity and fast-moving situations.
  • Independent, strategic thinker who can operate autonomously while influencing senior stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; passion for AI and emerging technology is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable working independently in a flexible capacity while staying responsive to time-sensitive media and stakeholder needs.
