Our Transam Depot in Tauranga provides full empty container services. As a Shipping Container Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our shipping containers, being at the forefront of ensuring our containers meet the highest industry standards.
Here is some of what you will be doing:
- Conducting thorough inspections of shipping containers to identify damage and determine repair requirements.
- Producing accurate and efficient repair estimates in line with industry standards.
- Ensuring all repairs are completed in a cost-effective and timely manner to meet operational deadlines.
- Collaborating with our team to ensure seamless container operations.
What you will bring to the table:
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring every container is inspected with precision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet depot targets and timelines.
- A methodical and sharp mind capable of generating accurate repair estimates.
- The ability to work independently with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
- Flexibility and reliability to adapt to the needs of the business.
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus but not required; training will be provided
You will also have the ability to pass Ministry of Justice, ACC checks and a drug and alcohol test as part of our recruitment process. This role is available to people living in New Zealand with full working rights at the time of application.
Hours of Work:
You’ll work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 6:00am to 6:00pm. We also offer the opportunity for overtime, including rostered Saturdays from 7:30am – 12:30pm, with great overtime rates at time and a half.
