About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated assistant manager to join our team at The Grove. As the assistant manager, you will act as a leader on the sales floor, assist with opening and closing procedures, and help drive sales through product knowledge and service excellence, and act as the store manager in their absence. The assistant manager works to drive the business of the store, ensure excellent customer engagement, and coach and develop the store team.

Schedule/Hours: 5 days a week, 40 hour work week. Must be able to work weekends with 2 days off

Location: Central LA

Principal Accountabilities

  • Open and close the store in accordance with company procedures
  • Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and skincare consultations
  • Build authentic relationships with customers and recommend products tailored to their needs
  • Support the Store Manager with daily operations and team supervision
  • Drive sales performance by meeting and exceeding individual and store goals
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store is clean, organized, and stocked
  • Assist with inventory management, restocking, and product launches
  • Address customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary

Key Experience and Skills

(Qualification level, experience, skill sets and personal attributes required for the job)

  • 3+ years of retail experience, preferably in beauty or skincare
  • Strong understanding of skincare products and routines (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and build client relationships
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Personal Attributes

  • Experience with skincare consultations or esthetics background
  • Familiarity with POS systems and retail operations
  • Interest in developing a team and coaching for success
  • Passion for beauty, wellness, and self-care
