New grad
210 open across 54 companies · updated hourly
Roles explicitly for people finishing a degree — “new grad”, “university graduate”, graduate programmes and trainee schemes. Deliberately kept separate from internships: a board called “Internships” that returns full-time graduate jobs is not keeping its promise, and a final-year student looking for a first job should not have to wade through summer placements.

When to apply
Most students miss the window because nobody told them summer applications open the previous autumn. These are the cycles as they actually run. A highlighted row is open now.
- Quant & trading firmsAugust – OctoberOpen now
Earliest of all. Jane Street, Jump, IMC, Optiver and peers recruit twelve to eighteen months ahead and fill summer seats by autumn.
- Big tech & large product companiesSeptember – NovemberOpen now
Google, Meta, Microsoft, Stripe and the like open summer internships and new-grad roles in early autumn. Many close applications by Thanksgiving.
- Banks & consultingAugust – OctoberOpen now
Investment banks and the big consultancies run structured programmes with hard deadlines, often before the end of September.
- Startups & scale-upsJanuary – April
Smaller companies hire closer to the start date. If autumn passed you by, this is where the summer roles still are.
- Co-op termsRolling, one term aheadOpen now
Fall co-ops post in spring; spring and summer terms post in autumn. Your school’s co-op office usually has the employer list first.
- FellowshipsNovember – February
Research and early-career fellowships cluster deadlines in winter for autumn starts. Long lead times; start the essays early.
Using a referral as a student
Written for someone who has never asked for one.
A referral moves you past the filter, not past the interview
Most large companies screen internship applications with software before a person looks. A referral puts yours in a pile a human reads. It does not get you the job — you still interview — but it gets you the conversation, which for a first role is most of the battle.
You do not need to know the person
On Vochure, employees who are willing to refer post the roles themselves. You are not cold-messaging a stranger; you are answering someone who has already said yes to the idea. Explain why you fit and what you have actually built or done. Two honest paragraphs beat a page of adjectives.
Apply early in the window, not at the deadline
Many programmes review on a rolling basis and fill before the posted close date. The calendar below tells you when each cycle opens. If you are inside a window, apply now.
Ask for one referral per company, and mean it
Employees are putting their name behind you. Pick the role you genuinely want at each company rather than spraying every opening. A referrer who sees you have asked five colleagues will decline all five.
Worth your time
None of these are ours and none pay to be here. They are the ones we would send a friend to. More on the resources page.
- Levels.fyi — Internship salaries
Real intern pay by company, so you know what to expect and what is low.
- GitHub Student Developer Pack
Free tooling while you have a .edu address. Ship something you can put on the résumé.
- Handshake
Where universities post employer events and on-campus recruiting. Complements a board like this one rather than replacing it.
- Pramp — free mock interviews
Peer-to-peer technical interview practice. Do three before your first real one.
- Cracking the Coding Interview (library copy)
Still the baseline for software interview prep. Your university library almost certainly has it.
Your university careers service
Underused and free. They read CVs, run mock interviews and often have employer contacts the internet does not.
