  • Job Description
  • Lead new business acquisition activities for automotive OEM customers.
  • Analyze and consolidate customer RFQs, RFIs, technical requirements, and commercial requirements, and drive proposal activities toward business award.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance, and other stakeholders to develop the optimal customer proposal.
  • Evaluate profitability, cost, technical feasibility, and quality risks, and define the business acquisition strategy.
  • Lead quotation development, pricing strategy, business case preparation, and internal approval processes.
  • Work closely with global business units and international locations to develop competitive solutions for Japanese customers.
  • Drive all activities from the pre-award phase through nomination and ensure a smooth handover to the project execution team after award.

  • In addition to managing individual opportunities, the role is expected to contribute to the standardization of acquisition decision criteria, risk assessment methodologies, and proposal processes.

  • Work closely with specialists from Sales, Business Units, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Finance.
  • For each opportunity, a cross-functional team is established, with the Business Acquisition Manager serving as the central coordinator responsible for managing proposals, quotations, issues, risks, and key decisions.
  • Drive projects in cooperation with both domestic and international stakeholders.
  • Collaborate regularly with global product business units, engineering centers, and commercial organizations to develop competitive customer solutions from a global perspective.

  • Required Experience and Skills
  • Professional experience in the automotive industry or related sectors such as electronics, semiconductors, sensors, or software.
  • Experience in Sales, Business Development, Technical Sales, or Project Management.
  • Experience working directly with customers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic understanding of RFQs, quotations, business cases, pricing, cost structures, profitability, or risk management.
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
  • Ability to support customer interactions and internal coordination in Japanese.
  • Self-driven mindset with the ability to structure complex issues and proactively drive actions forward in uncertain environments.
  • Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Business experience with automotive OEM customers.
  • Experience in RFQ management, series production acquisition, price negotiations, contract negotiations, and business case evaluation.
  • Knowledge of ADAS, radar, camera, and sensor technologies.
  • Experience working with global teams and managing international projects.
  • Understanding of development processes, product launches, quality requirements, and change management.
  • Knowledge of financial metrics, cost structures, and profitability analysis.
  • Experience conducting meetings, preparing materials, and coordinating with customers or international teams in English.
  • English Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with international teams through meetings and email.
  • Expected to be capable of participating in discussions related to technical, commercial, and project topics in English.
  • For complex negotiations or contractual discussions, support from relevant stakeholders will be available as needed.
  • Candidates who are comfortable using English and motivated to continuously develop their communication skills through practical experience are encouraged to apply.
